What the service is

We load FDA's public openFDA datasets, join them, and report what changed in the product codes you choose to watch. Every figure we show carries the source record and the time we retrieved it, so you can check it.

We are an independent commercial service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and we do not speak for them.

This is not regulatory advice

Nothing on this site or in our emails is regulatory, legal or medical advice. We are not your regulatory consultant. Decisions about a submission, a predicate device, a recall or a report to FDA are yours, and you should verify anything you rely on against FDA's own records — which every page links to.

In particular: the absence of a recall in our data is not evidence that a device is safe, and a verdict of "no predicate chain known" means we hold no data, not that the chain is clean. Where we do not know something we say so, and you should read that as we wrote it.

Accuracy, and its limits

We take accuracy seriously enough to publish what we get wrong: the /sources page lists the known gaps in our data, and the status page shows when each dataset last loaded. But FDA's data contains errors, omissions and inconsistencies that we reproduce faithfully rather than silently correct, and our own processing can be wrong.

We do not warrant that the service is accurate, complete or uninterrupted. If you find something wrong, tell us and we will fix it and say what happened.

Your account

One account is for one person. Sign-in codes go to your email address, so keeping that address secure is what keeps your account secure. Team plans exist for shared use — please use one rather than sharing a login.

You may not scrape the site, resell the data as a competing dataset, or use the service to build a substantially similar product. The underlying FDA data is public domain and you are free to get it from FDA directly; what we ask you not to take is our processing of it.

Payment and cancellation

Paddle is our Merchant of Record. They take the payment, handle sales tax and VAT, and their terms cover the transaction itself. Prices are in USD.

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds for a period already begun, but if the service was not what you expected, email us — we would rather refund you than argue.

If a payment fails we do not cut you off immediately. Access continues while the card is retried, and your account page says so.

Availability

We aim for the nightly ingest to complete and the digest to send every day. We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee, and the status page tells you the truth about what has and has not run rather than a green tick.

We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue something you are paying for, we will tell you before it happens and refund the unused part.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including regulatory outcomes, delayed submissions or commercial decisions taken in reliance on the service.

Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
